At Proxar It Consulting we can provide you with server support in the form of a server administrator. This administrator will maintain your server(s). Thus, users and devices will function smoothly at all times.

All of your servers, physical and virtual, need regular maintenance. These servers may be located in offices, comms rooms or data centres for example. So this is why we specialize in on-site as well as remote server support.

High Server Support Standards

Our staff are fully certified and have lots of experience. Therefore they can work on all Microsoft builds. Ranging from the current Microsoft Supported Windows Server  2019/2016/2012, to unsupported 2008 R2/2003/2000 for example. As well as Linux servers with a preference on RedHat or Ubuntu distributions.

Furthermore, for your convenience, you can utilize our services in one of two ways. Either, via a fully managed support contract. Or with server support only, without workstation and user support.

Server Support Administrator

One part of a server administrator role is to maintain the server’s vulnerability and security. Specifically, an administrator will do this with the following:

  1. Software Maintenance – We’ll update the Server with Microsoft, Windows and runtimes Updates.
  2. Hardware Maintenance – To ensure physical components are working correctly.
  3. Security – For this, we adhere to best security practices. 
  4. Resource Objects Access and Permissions – This includes user accounts and permissions to data and applications.
  5. Services and Functionality – This is when we make sure that all services which run on that server are working.
  6. Monitoring – We’re proactive when it comes to monitoring your server. We will alert you of major or minor problems ahead of time. Before it has time to disrupt your business.
  7. Server Break Fixes – If something on your server stops working, we can identify the problem. And we’ll fix it so it does not re-occur.

Why should I update my Server?

Updating a server is sometimes known as performing “patch updates” or “patching”. Updates are split into categories and this is what they’re designed for:

  1. To address existing identified bugs
  2. Or to fix a security vulnerability
  1. And to Improve operating systems or an application’s stability

These types of updates are defined within a Microsoft Updates category which includes:

  • Critical Updates
  • Security Updates Definition Updates
  • Update Rollup
  • Service Pack

  • Feature Pack

Why might I need an Active Directory Server Support Administrator?

Maybe you have someone onsite who deals with basic IT problems. Therefore you may only need a Server Only service. This service provides you with extra back-up in the case of more complex IT issues. For instance, setting up groups and users or security permissions.
