Completing the package is network support including both wired and wireless networks, in addition to documentation of IT infrastructure. There is also the option of an on-site engineer visit for up to one day per week. By investing in a Gold IT support package, meanwhile, you’ll not only enjoy the aforementioned benefits – with bi-monthly server and desktop housekeeping, a twice-as-fast two hour response time and on-site engineer visits of up to two days – but also extended support from 8am-8pm on weekdays. Other extras that distinguish the Gold from the Basic IT support package include local and online backup maintenance, network support including VPN, an annual review and consultancy on IT strategy, monthly reports of IT infrastructure, the management of existing warranties with both hardware and software vendors and the ability to liaise with existing third party software providers. Finally, you have the option of the Platinum IT package, which makes server and desktop housekeeping a monthly occurrence, halves the response time again to an hour and allows for on-site engineer visits of up to five days a week. Other elements that separate it from either the Basic or Gold IT support package include support on a 24 hours, 7 days a week basis, a quarterly review and consultancy on IT strategy, disaster recovery planning, performance monitoring and capacity planning and advice and guidance on new technologies from hardware and software vendors.
