Red Hat works in free and open source software. Founded in 1993, it is also a major Linux vendor. Red Hat delivers operating systems, applications and management products. Its technology is built in collaboration with a rapidly growing worldwide community – the number of open source projects increased to 150,000 in 2007 from 16,000 in 2001.
